At Nicholls, we think giving back to the community is a great thing and therefore we are pleased to support a range of local charities, sports clubs, school projects and community initiatives. Over the last year we have baked over 100 cakes, ran 10k across muddy and inflatable obstacles, ran 5k dressed as Father Christmas and helped Santa reach the North Pole through a Cycleathon!

John Nicholls Racing

John Nicholls (Trading) Ltd are proud to support John Nicholls Racing since the 1st August 2020. Our first ever foray into horse racing sponsorship which we are very excited about. We’re looking forward to being part of the race day experience and also, most importantly the care of the horses.

Wolf Run 2018

For the second year running 22 of our Nicholls employees battled their way through acres of mud as they took part in the 10k challenge held at Welsh Road Farm in Warwickshire.

We are delighted to have been supporting one of our local charities, Katherine House Hospice.

Sport Relief

John Nicholls took part in the 2018 event, by holding a charity darts challenge over 4 days, across all its sites. The event culminated in a special appearance by 2004 World Darts Champion Andy “the Viking” Fordham!

Staff and customers were given the option to challenge the Viking and saw a total of over £500 raised.

Dogs For Good

This is a local charity which celebrates its 30^th year in 2018. Located in Oxfordshire, the charity has trained and provided over 1000 dogs to support autistic children, as well as assistance dogs for adults with disabilities.

We are proud to have established an ongoing relationship with the charity and recently raised over £100 during our Wear it Green day in November. We also had some welcome visitors in the form of Charlie, Connie, Ollie and Pasco to our Head Office in Adderbury.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We regularly support this event with coffee events held across our 18 sites, with an abundance of tea and cake available for staff and customers.

In 2017 we were delighted to raise a fantastic £570 for this fantastic cause.

Katharine House Hospice

A local charity based in Adderbury, KHH has been established since 1991 and provides palliative and end of life care for those suffering with life limiting conditions, as well as general support and respite. This is a charity close to our hearts and one which we support as often as we can.

In 2017, we held a Nicholls Family Fun Day at Banbury United Football Club, as well as bake sale, a corporate golf event and took part in the Wolf Run. Our combined efforts raised a total of £1401.23 for Katharine House Hospice, with credit to our fantastic employees, suppliers and customers who helped made this possible.

26 employees ran, crawled and swam their way through acres of mud as part of the 10k challenge held at Welsh Road Farm in Warwickshire. This has now become a staple of the Nicholls calendar and once again we will be embracing the muddy madness all over again in 2018!

Banbury Boxing Club is a “not for profit” charitable club run by volunteers and offers affordable boxing classes in a safe environment for competitive boxers to train and compete in the sport of amateur boxing.
